Intelligent Octopus Flux is the Flux idea with the battery scheduling handled for you. Instead of setting your own charge and discharge windows, you connect a compatible home battery and Octopus decides when to fill it and when to send power back to the grid, working from wholesale prices and your own usage. The import rates are banded across the day, cheapest overnight and dearest in the evening peak, and this page shows the import side of that pairing: the rates you are paid for exporting are published as a separate product with its own rate series.

How is Intelligent Flux different from Flux?
Flux gives you the price bands and leaves the scheduling to you or to your battery installer's software. Intelligent Flux keeps the same shape of tariff but hands the scheduling to Octopus, which charges and discharges the battery on your behalf.
Do I need a home battery?
Yes. The tariff is built around a compatible home battery that Octopus can control. Without one there is nothing for the scheduling to act on, and the banded import rates on their own are unlikely to suit an ordinary household.
Is this page the import side or the export side?
The import side. Intelligent Flux pairs an import product with an export product, and this page reads the import rates only, which are what you are charged for the electricity you take from the grid.
