How it works

Your browser connects directly to Octopus Energy from this browser over HTTPS. This site does not receive your API key, account number, MPAN, meter serials, or raw consumption payload. The interactive tool requires JavaScript because the private connection stays inside the browser.

Summary metrics count complete London days only. Fixed bands are overnight, daytime, peak, and evening. Incomplete or ambiguous days stay visible in the daily and half-hour tables, but they are excluded from totals, averages, shares, baseload, and any estimated cost.

The baseload estimate is the median of each complete day's mean four lowest half-hour readings, multiplied by two into kW. It is an estimate of the lowest sustained demand, not a device-level measurement.

Worked example

A London home with 1.8 kWh overnight, 4.0 kWh through the daytime, 1.2 kWh at the peak, and 2.5 kWh in the evening on one complete day will show those exact band totals, plus that day's half-hours in London local time.

Daylight-saving changes keep their real BST and GMT labels. A spring day can have 46 half-hours, while an autumn day can have 50, with repeated local times shown separately instead of merged.
