Your estimate
- Flexible Octopus (single rate)
- £815.95 a year
- Flexible Octopus Economy 7
- £786.03 a year
Economy 7 is about £29.92 a year cheaper at this night share.
Economy 7 starts to win once more than 33.7% of your use is at night.
How to estimate your night share
If you already have an Economy 7 meter, divide your night units by your total units from a year of bills. Storage heaters, an overnight hot-water tank or EV charging raise your night share a lot. Without them, most use happens in the day and evening, and the night share is usually low.
What the estimate leaves out
This is an estimate, not a quote. It uses today’s Flexible Octopus prices, which can change, and assumes your night share stays the same all year. The Economy 7 night period depends on your meter and region, and switching between single-rate and Economy 7 may need a meter change. Confirm both with Octopus.
